WHAT WE DO

Threads for Threads is our initiative - created to promote global education and inspire children to realize their dreams.


For every tie sold, FIGS gives an entire school uniform to a child in need of an education – Threads for Threads.

THE PROBLEM

Over 120 million children throughout the world do not have access to an education. Global poverty has rendered countless children without access to the basic tools needed in order to attend school - thus resulting in a lack of education quickly becoming a widespread epidemic.

WHY UNIFORMS?

Throughout the developing world, many children do not attend school without a proper uniform.


Wearing a school uniform is a source of immense pride for a child, their family and often the entire village.

Uniforms instill great confidence, empower students to learn and foster a sense of professional purpose. A uniform is not just a requirement, but an essential element of academic success.

Funding education empowers self-reliance. It allows children to grow and learn how to better their communities and countries.

In addition to receiving an education, our uniforms are often a child's first set of clothes. These uniforms shield them from disease and harsh elements that threaten their bodies on a daily basis.
WHERE WE GIVE

FIGS currently partners with 105 schools in Kenya, Tanzania and Nepal.

BUILDING COMMUNITIES & PROVIDING JOBS

All of the uniforms provided by FIGS are hand sewn by tailors within the local school communities that we serve. We steadfastly believe in improving the lives of each individual child, but also that of their community as a whole. FIGS is proudly able to provide jobs to the adults in the community, which dually creates additional support and pride in the mission of what we do.
