Damien Hirst - Medicine Cabinets

Internationally renowned English Artist Damien Hirst began working on the ‘Medicine Cabinets’ in his second year at Goldsmiths. He created a group of 12 cabinets which were named after 12 tracks on the Sex Pistol’s album ‘Never Mind the Bollocks’. Damien originally arranged the used packages as if the cabinet were itself a body, with each item placed according to the organs it related to. However, his arrangement method changed in his later work. ‘The Complete Medicine Cabinets’ was exhibited at L & M Arts, New York in 2010.
