A Project C.U.R.E. team of 10 volunteers traveled to the ASEBED Hospital in Cap-Haitian in March. ASEBED hospital previously received 5 containers from Project C.U.R.E. and the team went down to support their work. While there they engaged in community education using Project C.U.R.E. Kits for Kids as well as seeing on average 250 patients per day. A volunteer surgeon was able to remove a benign tumor in the surgery room. The medical staff was happy to be presented with FIGS Scrubs and wore them the entire time!
Volunteers also visited an orphanage and conducted a rural clinic inside of a church. It was a great experience for all. Many reported the poor conditions in Haiti being difficult to witness but were amazed by the easy smiles of their patients.
